Resolve issues with Opera Revenue Sync by correcting report date range configurations and fixing incorrect email destinations. Use this workflow when reports fail to arrive or dates cannot be modified.
Prerequisites:
Before you begin:
- You must have the appropriate access in Opera to use the Configuration and Report Scheduler modules. Ensure you have your assigned Hotel Effectiveness destination email address.
The Steps:
Adjust History and Forecast Date Configuration
- Open Opera and select Configuration.
- Select Setup on the top menu.
- Hover over Reports Setup and select Reports.
- Search for and select the History and Forecast report.
- Select Edit on the right.
- Select Parameter in the resulting pop-up.
- Select Save at the bottom without making any changes to unlock date adjustments.
- Close the Configuration windows and go back to Opera PMS.
- Select Report Scheduler and choose the History and Forecast report.
- Select the Parameter radio button below the list of reports.
- Highlight the FROM_DATE and select Set Date.
- Use the number pad +/- and 7 keys to change the Report Date to -7 days, then select OK.
- Highlight the TO_DATE and select Set Date.
Use the number pad +/- and 1 keys to change the Report Date to +1 days, then select OK.
Adjust Trial Balance Date Configuration
- Open Opera and select Configuration.
- Select Setup on the top menu.
- Hover over Reports Setup and select Reports.
- Search for and select the Trial Balance report.
- Select Edit on the right.
- Select Parameter in the resulting pop-up.
- Select Save at the bottom without making any changes to unlock date adjustments.
- Close the Configuration windows and go back to Opera PMS.
- Select Report Scheduler and choose the Trial Balance report.
- Select the Parameter radio button below the list of reports.
- Highlight the TO_DATE and select Set Date.
Use the number pad +/- and 7 keys to change the Report Date to -7 days, then select OK.
Correct the Destination Email Address
- Open Opera and select PMS.
- Select Report Scheduler from the left-side menu (or via Miscellaneous > Report Scheduler).
- Highlight the report name that is not coming through.
- Highlight the EMAIL line in the lower section of the window.
- Select Delete on the lower right side of the window.
- Select the Are you Sure? drop-down list and choose Yes.
- Select New on the lower right side of the window.
- Ensure Email is selected next to Type.
- Input your assigned Hotel Effectiveness email address into the value field.
Select OK.
The Result:
- Success: Your date options will be successfully updated, and the scheduled reports will reliably send to Hotel Effectiveness at your configured times.
Troubleshooting:
- Note: If reports still do not arrive, verify there are no misspellings of @HotelEffectiveness.com in the destination address. Take a screenshot of the email line and send it to our support desk to verify.
