This section defines the different display modes available in the Scheduler to help managers visualize coverage.
The Context These options are found in Scheduler > Schedule Employees (Step 2). They allow you to toggle between high-level planning and granular hourly coverage.
The Data
| View Option | Definition | Best Used For... |
| Week View | Displays 7 days of schedules at once (based on work week). | General planning, balancing weekly hours, and checking overtime risk. |
| Day View | Displays a single day broken down hour-by-hour. | Ensuring coverage during peak hours and spotting gaps in specific time slots. |
| View by Position | Groups all employees by their primary job code (e.g., all "Front Desk Agents" together). | Determining if a specific department is under- or over-staffed. |
| View by Employee | Lists all employees alphabetically by Last Name. | finding a specific person regardless of what role they are working that day. |
| View by Department | Groups positions within their parent department structure. | Managers who oversee multiple departments (e.g., F&B Manager scheduling Servers and Cooks). |
| View by Location | Groups shifts by physical area (e.g., "Patio" vs. "Dining Room"). | Complex operations with multiple outlets sharing the same staff. |
Limits
• Persistent Settings: The system saves your view preference (e.g., "Show Middle Name," "Over/Under Hours") for your next session.
• Drag & Drop: You can drag shifts between employees in Position View, but you cannot drag a shift from one position group to another (e.g., cannot drag Houseman shift to Room Attendant).
