The phase-out of third-party cookies in Chrome is part of Google's Privacy Sandbox initiative aimed at enhancing user privacy. Because the Time & Attendance module often operates as a "cross-site" service, some users may be redirected to a login screen instead of being logged in automatically.
Please follow the steps below for your specific device and browser to resolve the issue:
For Chrome:
- At the top right, click More (the three vertical dots) > Settings.
- Click Privacy and security > Third-party cookies.
- Tip: If you are part of the Tracking Protection test group, select Tracking Protection instead.
- Next to "Allowed to use third-party cookies," click Add.
- Enter the web address: https://my.hoteleffectiveness.com/
- Select Add.
For Edge:
- At the top right, click More (the three horizontal dots) > Settings.
- Click Cookies and site permissions > Manage and delete cookies and site data.
- Next to "Allow," click Add.
- Enter the web address: https://my.hoteleffectiveness.com/
- Check the box for "Include third-party cookies on this site."
- Select Add.
For Firefox:
- At the top right, click More (the three horizontal lines) > Settings.
- Click Privacy and security. Under Cookies and Site Data, select Manage Exceptions.
- Enter the web address: https://my.hoteleffectiveness.com/
- Select Allow, then select Save Changes.
For Safari (Mac Desktop/Laptop):
- Open Safari. In the top menu bar, click Safari > Settings (or Preferences).
- Click on the Privacy tab.
- Deselect (uncheck) ‘Prevent cross-site tracking.’
- Deselect (uncheck) ‘Block all Cookies.’
- Close the window and refresh your browser.
For Safari (iPad or iPhone):
- Open the Settings App (the gear icon on your home screen).
- Scroll down and tap Apps > Safari.
- Under the Privacy & Security section, toggle OFF "Prevent Cross-Site Tracking."
- Scroll to the bottom and tap Advanced. Ensure "Block All Cookies" is toggled OFF.
Tips:
- Temporary Nature: These settings allow the site to communicate correctly to keep you logged in.
- Incognito Mode: If you allow cookies on a site, that setting carries over into Incognito mode; however, you cannot change these settings while already inside an Incognito window.
- Alternative: If you still have trouble with Safari on mobile or desktop, please try using Chrome or Firefox.
