If you are at a Hilton property and trying to connect an Ethernet clock, you may encounter errors on the network that do not allow you to connect. If this is the case and you determine that you need a static IP address, it is essential that you reach out to either the Hilton Network (onQ) or AT&T StayConnected to obtain the static IP. If you are unsure of which network you will be using to connect your clock, contact your network administrator.
Connecting your Time Clock through the Hilton Network OnQ:
Call Hilton Support 1 (800) HELP-HELP and obtain the static addresses and firewall exception for Outbound Access for the time clock.
In turn, they will provide you with a ticket number and require you to complete two ‘Hotel Infrastructure Change Request Forms’. One is for the static IP address and the other is for the firewall exception.
The turnaround time for obtaining the addresses can take up to 5 business days. Usually, Hilton OnQ does not assign a specific switch or port to connect the time clock but it must be connected to their server.
Once you receive the static IP address, follow the directions for Entering a Static IP Address into Your Time Clock.
Once these steps are completed, you can perform your test connection.
Connecting your Time Clock through AT&T StayConnected:
Call AT&T Stay Connected Network Operations Center (NOC) at 1 (866) 250-1766 to supply them with the time clock’s MAC address and request to obtain the following:
- Static IP
- Subnet Mask
- Default Gateway,
- Primary DNS
- Secondary DNS
The turnaround time for obtaining the addresses can take up to 3-5 business days.
AT&T will assign the time clock a designated switch and port. It is important that it is connected to this port in your router, or else the time clock will generate an error message. If you are unsure of or cannot find the switch and port, contact AT&T StayConnected Network Operations Center (NOC) at 1 (866) 250-1766.
