Use this reference to understand the communication types available in the system and the specific security settings required for managers and staff.
The Context
These settings are managed in two primary locations:
- User Permissions: (Per Manager) Controls who can send messages. Found in Users > User Permissions > PerfectEngage.
- MyHotelTeam Settings: (Global Hotel Rule) Controls who employees can chat with. Found in Settings > Scheduler/MyHotelTeam > MyHotelTeam Settings.
The Data: Message Types

The Data: Manager Permissions
Found in the PerfectEngage section of User Permissions.

The Data: Employee Chat Rules
Found in MyHotelTeam Settings. These apply to all staff at the hotel.

Limits
- Group Chat Limit: A single group chat cannot have more than 100 recipients.
- Wages: Employee wages/rates are never displayed in MyHotelTeam or Team Chat.
- Access: Managers can send and receive messages via the MyHotelTeam App or the Web Portal.
