Accessing the Fingerprint Maintenance Page
To access this page, follow this navigation path: Time & Attendance > Administration Menu > Fingerprint Maintenance
- Note: You must have full permissions for the selected property to access this page.
Understanding the Fingerprint Sections
This page organizes biometric records into five distinct sections to help you manage prints associated with your property:
- Active Employees: Displays prints for employees who are currently active and enrolled on a time clock.
- Prints with No Match: Shows prints enrolled on a clock but with no matching employee record. These will not be downloaded during a full database re-download.
- Inactive Employees: Include prints for employees who are no longer active at the property. These records will also not be downloaded during a full download.
- Deleted Prints: Lists records that were present in the past but have been explicitly deleted.
- Active Employees Not Enrolled: Identifies employees who are active at the property but have not yet enrolled a fingerprint on the clock.
Managing Fingerprints
The Fingerprint Maintenance page allows you to efficiently manage your employees' biometric records. You can:
- View enrolled prints, their corresponding employees, and enrollment timestamps.
- Identify employees who still need to be enrolled.
- Review prints that have been deleted.
- See what type of clock the print enrollment is for.
- Sort the list using the 'Sort Order.' drop-down menu.
Note: You can only access this page if you have full permissions at the selected property.
Using the 'Sort Order:' drop down box you can sort this list by 'Lastname,Firstname', 'Firstname,Lastname', or 'PIN/Card' and the date and time of enrollment.
Print Deletions
For deleting many inactive prints at once, we recommend using the Full Download option on your time clock.
If you only want to delete a couple of outdated print records, you can do so inside of the Fingerprint Maintenance menu. Clicking the links on this page under the 'PIN/Card#' column will give you two options:
- Change to an explicit "Deleted" entry. This overwrites the original with a new entry that announces the template should be deleted. When clocks receive the entry, they will delete the original record from memory. Prints flagged with this are deleted off of all clocks during a transmit and prevents them from being re downloaded.
- Delete record from server database. This removes the entry from this list. The fingerprint record will no longer be sent to clocks, but no deletion message will be sent either. Clocks may retain the old fingerprint template until a full database re download is performed. Deletes Prints from all clocks OTHER than the clock the print was originally enrolled on. This allows the print to be only active and usable on the clock it was enrolled with.
