A. Log In
To login, use the same Username and Password you use to login to the Hotel Effectiveness website. Check the "Remember Me" checkbox so you don't need to enter them again in the future.
If you have forgotten your password, please use the Forgot Password option on our mobile app or website to reset your password.
B. Win/Loss View
Once logged in, you will be directed to the mobile app home page. Here you will see a Hotel or Group View based on if your login has access to a single hotel or multiple hotels. To view Win/Loss details, click on Win/Loss in the Labor Win/Loss Chart. Please Note: Labor and revenue details are for the current and previous day only.
C. Menu
To access additional menu options, select the icon at the bottom of the screen or click on the three dots icon located in the lower-right corner of the screen.
From here, you can access a set of labor management tools:
- Daily Labor Check In
- Scheduler
- Reports
Mobile Daily Labor Check-In
The Daily Labor Check-In consists of the same steps that are in the website, but there a few nuances included within the mobile process.
Step 1: Summary provides the previous day and week to date hours detail. Below the hours summary data you will find the Data Quality Check. This provides refresh details for Night Audit Entry, Housekeeping Cleans and Timeclock Data. Select "Next Step" to continue to Step 2.
Step 2: Department Issues defaults to showing all departments and their plan hours. To view only the departments that are over plan select the "Loss" option towards the top of the screen. You can also view week to date details by selecting the "Week to Date" option towards the top of the screen.
You can view the position details by selecting the department name from the displayed list. You can drill down even more and view the specific employees who were working in the departments over plan by selecting the position name. Select "Next Step" to continue to Step 3.
Step 3: Housekeeping provides actual and plan hours for the previous day and week to date. The Room Attendant and Laundry Attendant Summary also provide minutes per room detail. To view warning messages (i.e. Hours, but no cleans/ Cleans, but no hours), please log in to the website. Select "Next Step" to continue to Step 4.
Step 4: Overtime Risk shows any employees at risk of accumulating overtime for the current week only. To see how many hours each employee is scheduled to work each day, view the Overtime Risk report in the website. Select "Next Step" to continue to Step 5.
Step 5: Finish In the Finish, you can add notes as necessary. Select "Finish" to complete the Daily Labor Check-in.
Mobile Scheduler
Scheduler allows you to see who is scheduled for a desired date; however the date defaults to today's date. By selecting "See Who's Scheduled" you will see a quick overview listing the overall number of staff scheduled for the day. To change the date or hotel to be viewed, click the drop-down arrow in the top-right corner of the screen. It then provides the number of shifts scheduled in each department. To see the employees that are scheduled in a particular department, select the department name from the display list. The shift time will be listed next to each employee along with their contact details.
At the bottom of the scheduled employees list there is an option to "Find Available Staff". This new feature allows you to see employees that are assigned to the same position and are available to be scheduled. It divides the employees into 4 different categories: All, On Call, Unscheduled and Time Off. All pending and approved time off requests will appear in the time off list. If a phone number is listed and you are accessing the mobile app on a phone, you can select the phone number to call the employee.
Reports
The Hotel Group Summary provides an overview of your hotel(s) hours and wages for your current work week. You can adjust the date range and select a different property through the vertical ellipsis in the upper right corner of the screen. To drill into the details, you can select the property name from the list displayed. The Positions Details report shows a listing of every department with actual and variance hours in one hotel for your current work week. To view department or position details select the department or position name from the list displayed.
