Labor Productivity Report Metrics

This report displays productivity metrics for each position in the hotel.

• Report Location: Found under Reports → Labor Profitability → Labor Productivity Report.

  

Understanding Productivity Basis:

The Productivity Basis is the specific business driver (or "unit of measure") used to evaluate the labor efficiency of a particular role. Instead of a "one-size-fits-all" metric, it allows the hotel to measure hours worked against the actual volume of work performed for that specific department.

Key Components:

• Customization by Position: The default productivity basis is Rooms Sold, but each position in your hotel can have its own unique productivity basis. For example, while a Housekeeper’s basis is typically Rooms Sold, a Restaurant Server’s basis might be Covers.
• Driver-Based Measurement: The basis is tied to the hotel’s business drivers. This ensures that labor costs are viewed in relation to the activity that actually "drives" the need for that labor.

Limits:

• Permissions Required: 
  • Users must have the Can Access Labor Reports permission (Must See Wages and No Dept Filtering) to view this report.
  • Users must have the permissions to edit and add a new position under the Settings Module. 

Where to Adjust the Basis:

To change or view the Productivity Basis for a specific role, users must have the appropriate permissions to access Settings:

1. Navigate to the Position Setup page.
2. Select the specific position to edit.
3. Adjust the Productivity Basis dropdown to the desired business driver.

Note: Access to this page requires "View Settings" permissions, and saving changes requires "Edit Settings" permissions.
