Use this workflow to schedule automated performance updates delivered to your inbox, or to assign alerts to other managers.
Before you begin...
• Requires "My Email Alerts" access.
• Alert availability depends on permissions: You cannot subscribe to alerts containing data you are restricted from seeing (e.g., if "See Wages" is disabled, you cannot receive Labor Cost alerts).
1. Access Email Alert Subscriptions
- Log in to Hotel Effectiveness.
- Hover over the Username Menu (top right corner) and select My Email Alerts.
2. Select an Alert
- Review the list of available alerts on the left side of the page:
◦ Recommended Email Alerts: Based on your user type (e.g., GM, Controller).
◦ Other Email Alerts: Additional options available to your role. - Click View Sample to preview the content.
- Click the orange Subscribe button next to the desired alert.
3. Configure Delivery Preferences
- Select Hotels: Choose specific hotels or hotel groups (if you have access to multiple).
- Frequency: Select Daily or Weekly.
- Delivery Time: Select the time of day and specific days of the week you wish to receive the email.
◦ Note: Defaults to your user profile's time zone. - Click Save.
4. Subscribe Other Users (Admins Only) If you are a Hotel or Account Administrator setting up a new manager:
- Navigate to Users under the Username Menu.
- Click the blue Username of the person you wish to update.
- Click the Email Alerts sub-navigation link on their profile.
- Follow the subscription steps above to assign alerts to them.
The Result Success: The alert moves to the "Your Subscribed Email Alerts" section, and you will receive the next scheduled email.
If this fails...
• Note: If an alert listed under "Not Available Because of Permissions" is grayed out, you must contact an administrator to update your user permissions (e.g., enable "See Wages" or remove Department Filters) before you can subscribe.
