Use this workflow to manage the shared Night Auditor system login or individual auditor accounts to ensure secure access to Night Audit Entry.
Before you begin...
- Requires Manager permissions.
- Identify if you are using the shared "System User" or an individual user account.
1. Access Night Audit Entry
- Log in to Hotel Effectiveness.
- Select Night Audit Entry from the left navigation menu.
2. Change the Shared System Password
- Hover over Manage Auditor User in the top menu.
- Select Change the Night Auditor Password.
- Enter a new, secure password and confirm it.
- Click Change the Password.
3. Print Instructions for the Desk
- Hover over View/Print Instructions.
- Select Night Audit Instructions.
- Print this document, write the new password on it, and place it at the Night Audit workstation.
4. Reset an Individual Auditor's Password
- If your auditor has a unique login (not the shared account), navigate to Users in the Username Menu.
- Locate the user and click Send/Resend Invitation to email them a password reset link.
The Result
- Success: The Night Auditor will be able to log in to the dedicated Night Audit Entry screen using the new credentials.
If this fails...
Note: The shared Night Auditor login only has access to Night Audit Entry. If they need to see reports, you must create a standard user account for them.
