Use this workflow to enable 2-step verification, adding an extra layer of security to your account.
Before you begin...
- Requires a mobile device with an Authenticator App (Google Authenticator, Microsoft Authenticator) or access to your email.
1. Log In to Hotel Effectiveness
- Enter your username and password as usual.
- You will be prompted to set up MFA if it is not already configured.
2. Choose Your Method
- Option A (App): Open your Authenticator App on your phone and select "Add Account" or the "+" icon.
- Option B (Email): Select the email option to have a code sent to your inbox.
3. Scan or Enter Code
- If using App: Scan the QR code displayed on the Hotel Effectiveness screen with your phone's camera.
- Enter the 6-digit code generated by the app or received in your email into the box on the screen.
- Click Verify or Submit.
4. The Result
- Success: You will be logged in. You will be prompted for a new code periodically (e.g., every 7 days) or when logging in from a new device.
If this fails...
Note: If you lose your phone or cannot access your email, contact your Hotel Administrator to reset your MFA settings.
