Use this workflow to manually assign rooms, predict shift end times, and track actual performance against your labor standards.
Before you begin...
- Requires "Housekeeping Gameday" permissions.
- Recommended: Use this tool every morning before room attendants start their shifts.
- Note: This tool uses your "Minutes Per Room" (MPR) goals to calculate targets automatically.
1. Set Up the Day's Grid
- Navigate to Housekeeping Tools > mouse over Housekeeping Gameday > select Housekeeping Gameday.
- Select the Date.
- Under "Room Attendant List," choose:
- Show All Active: Displays all employees with the Room Attendant position.
- Show Only Scheduled: (Recommended) Displays only those scheduled in Scheduler.
- Enter the Shift Start Time and any Extend Shift minutes (for unpaid breaks or meetings).
- Click Go to Housekeeping Grid.
2. Assign Rooms & Review Targets
- Manage Team: If an unscheduled employee is working, click Add New Room Attendant. To remove someone, click the X next to their name.
- Enter Cleans: Input the number of rooms assigned to each attendant under the appropriate Clean Type columns (e.g., Stayover, Checkout).
- Review Stats: As you enter numbers, the Total Assigned Cleans, Target Hours, and Shift Stop (estimated) columns will update automatically based on your Labor Standards (and Cart Stocking time, if configured).
- Adjust: Click an individual's Start Time to edit it if they arrived late/early.
3. Save & Print
- Once the workload is balanced and Shift Stop times look correct, click Save & Print Schedule.
- Distribute the printed sheets to your team.
4. Enter Actuals (End of Shift)
- Return to Housekeeping Gameday and click Enter Housekeeping Cleans.
- Update the counts with the actual number of rooms cleaned by each attendant (verify against their paper assignment sheets).
- Note: You can also track DNDs (Do Not Disturb) here.
- Click Save and Exit.
The Result
- Success: Your actual room counts will automatically transfer to Night Audit Entry, ensuring your 5-Minute Daily Labor Check-In and productivity reports are accurate.
If this fails...
- Note: If you cannot find a room attendant in the list, verify they are set up with the "Room Attendant" position in Time & Attendance.
- Note: If "Cart Stocking" time is missing from the calculation, a Labor Standard Administrator must add a variable standard for "Housekeeping Cart Stocking" in the Labor Plans.
