How to configure RevSync for ProfitSword

Use this workflow to automate the flow of actual, forecast, and budget data between ProfitSword and Hotel Effectiveness, eliminating manual data entry.

Before you begin...

• Requires "Account Administrator" permissions.

• Requires subscriptions to both Hotel Effectiveness and ProfitSword.

• You must have access to the ProfitSword Data Portal credentials.

1. Request Data Portal Access

1. Email ProfitSword Support to request API access for Hotel Effectiveness.

   ◦ Request Template: "Please open the Data Portal and give Hotel Effectiveness access to use the ProfitSword API to download Rooms Sold/Revenue Actuals and Forecast Data. We need the ItemListID (e.g., 2398) and a username/password."

2. Receive the Data Portal URL, Username, Password, and ItemListID from ProfitSword support.

2. Configure Hotel Effectiveness

1. Forward the credentials received in Step 1 to [e-mail].
2. The Hotel Effectiveness support team will configure the backend connection to start downloading data.
    

3. Map Revenue Data (RevSync Actuals)

1. Once notified that the connection is active, log in to Hotel Effectiveness.
2. Navigate to Settings > 3rd Party Revenue Sync Mapping.
3. Locate the ProfitSword data rows (e.g., TOTRMSREV).
4. Click Edit or Add New Business Driver to map these codes to Hotel Effectiveness fields (e.g., Rooms Revenue).
5. Save your mapping.
    

The Result Success: Night Audit Entry fields (Rooms Sold, Revenue) populate automatically throughout the day (starting at 4:15 AM ET). Forecast data in the Scheduler updates twice daily (2:30 AM and 6:30 PM ET).

If this fails...

• Note: If you see "Sorry, this hotel is not setup for this importing service" in Settings, the backend configuration (Step 2) has not been completed by the support team.
