To establish the integration between Hotel Effectiveness by Actabl and Opera Cloud, you mustset up the following two reports in Opera Cloud:
- Trial Balance
- History and Forecast
These reports must be sent to a specific email address provided to you by our Support team.
If you don't see these reports in Opera Cloud, please contact Opera/Oracle Support and request that they be added to your access.
Trial Balance Report Setup
In Opera Cloud, go to Reports > Scheduled Reports > Manage Schedule.
Click New
Enter the word trial in the Report Name search box; highlight Trial Balance (trial_balance) then click Select
Under Report Parameters, change the Date Option to Business Date with a -1 day so that the system can send yesterday's data today. Check the box to Display Payment Details. Once completed, click on Next
Under Repeat Intervals, change the start time to anytime between 5:30am–7:30am local time. Select the Repeat radio for the recurrence pattern, then the Days radio for the internal. Click Next.
- Under Destinations, you can change the file name to be HES Trial_Balance
(short hand for Hotel Effectiveness Solutions Trial Balance) if you already have other trial balance reports set up in Opera Cloud. Make sure the file format for Hotel Effectiveness is delimited data and the delimiter is tab. Select New, then change the mode to Email and type in your email address (or someone else on property). Once completed, click on Save.
- After you have the report configured to go to your email address (or someone else on property), remember to set up a forwarding rule to send these reports to: opera+(Hotel Effectiveness provided property ID)@hoteleffectiveness.com. Here is an example of this email setup: opera+110558@hoteleffectiveness.com. Opera Cloud does not allow emails to be sent to a .net email address at this time.
Forwarding rules may differ with each type of email address. Please consult your company's IT department to obtain proper instructions as needed. Below is an example of this email forwarding:
History and Forecast Report Setup
In Opera Cloud, go to Reports > Scheduled Reports > Manage Schedule.
Click New.
- Enter the word history in the Report Name search box; click on the History and Forecast report (history_forecast) and choose Select
Under Report Parameters, change the from Date Option to Business Date with a -7days and the To Date with a +1 day (8 days total). Check the box to Display Payment Details. Once completed, click on Next.
- Under Destinations, you can change the file name to be HESHistory_Forecast (short hand for Hotel Effectiveness Solutions History Forecast) if you already have other history and forecast reports set up in Opera Cloud. Make sure the file format for Hotel Effectiveness is delimited data and the delimiter is tab.
Select New, then change the mode to Email and type in your email address (or someone else on property). Once completed, click on Save.
