Use this workflow to automate the flow of room clean data from Alice into Hotel Effectiveness, eliminating manual entry and improving Room Attendant productivity accuracy.
Before you begin...
- Requires subscriptions to both Hotel Effectiveness and AliceHousekeeping.
- Requires "Can Edit Hotel Settings" permissions to perform full mapping (Clean Types + Employees).
- Note: Users with "Can Access Housekeeping Gameday" but no edit settings can map employees but only view clean types.
- Metadata: Initial setup must be enabled by Actabl Support.
1. Access the Mapping Interface
- Navigate to Housekeeping Tools in the main menu.
- Select Clean Sync Mapping.
- Note: If this menu is missing, contact support to enable the integration.

2. Map Clean Types
- Locate the Clean Type Mapping section. This table lists all clean statuses synced from ALICE.
- Select Edit on a specific row.
- Select the matching Hotel Effectiveness Clean Type from the dropdown.
- Click Save.
- Repeat for all active Alice statuses. Map any non-serviced statuses (like OOO) to No Cleaning Needed.
3. Map Employees
- Scroll to the Employee Mapping section.
- Select Edit next to an Alice Employee Code.
- Select the corresponding Hotel Effectiveness Employee profile from the dropdown.
- Click Save.
- Tip: Mapping must be updated every time a new hire is activated in Alice.
4. Verify the Data Flow
- Success: Clean counts will automatically transfer at 10:00 PM local hotel time nightly.
- Validation: Review the "Housekeeping Cleans" section of Night Audit Entry the following morning to see the imported values.
If this fails...
Note on Room Status: Rooms assigned in Alice with a status of Skip or Dirty will NOT count toward the employee's clean totals in Hotel Effectiveness.
FAQs
Q: I do not see any data loaded in my Clean Type Mapping and/or my Employee Mapping tables.
A: This could be caused if the Hotel has not completed the input of Cleans into the Alice app or the nightly sync has not run for the prior day's cleans. Please ensure all cleans are entered into Alice and the nightly sync processes. If data still does not appear, please contact the Actabl Support team.
Q: My Room Attendants are not flowing over from Alice to Hotel Effectiveness.
A: Room Attendants will only appear in Hotel Effectiveness to be mapped after they have been assigned rooms in Alice and that day has synced.
Q: What employees should flow over from Alice?
A: Employees that have active boards in Alice should flow over. This is not restricted to Room Attendants. However, please note that only employees mapped to Room Attendants in Hotel Effectiveness will display their cleans comparison in Hotel Effectiveness reporting.
Q: Why are there Housekeeping employees in Hotel Effectiveness that are not showing as mappable employees from Alice?
A: This usually happens for one of two reasons:
Manual Addition: The individual was manually added to Hotel Effectiveness first, and there is not yet active data tied to their Alice profile to flow over.
Inactive Status: The employee profile could be "old" or inactive in Alice due to Leave of Absence (LOA), vacations, or termination processing.
Note on Adjustments: Clean assignments cannot be changed in Alice after the day is complete. Any retroactive edits must be performed manually in the Night Audit Entry or Housekeeping Gameday screens in Hotel Effectiveness.
